Sarah Paquet leads the choral program at Tappan Middle School in Ann Arbor, MI. Prior to joining the Ann Arbor Public Schools, Sarah was the assistant director of choral activities at Smith College, where she led choral ensembles, taught musicianship and music appreciation courses, and maintained an undergraduate voice studio. She also served as Director of the Pioneer Valley Symphony Chorus and Chamber Choir. Her past appointments include director roles at Avon Old Farms School (Avon, CT), University of Detroit Jesuit High School (Detroit, MI) and St. Mary Student Parish (Ann Arbor, MI).
Sarah has studied conducting with Marguerite Brooks, Jeffrey Douma, Simon Carrington, David Hill, Paul Rardin, Eugene Rogers, and Masaaki Suzuki. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in music education from the University of Michigan and a Master of Music degree in choral conducting from Yale University.
